On 24th of January 2011 BAIB was accepted as an associated member of the European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries (BIPAR).
On an annual meeting, held in June 2011, where the application was reviewed and after a vote, BAIB gained the status of a full right member of BIPAR.
The European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries (BIPAR) is a non-profit organization that unites professional association of insurance intermediaries in Europe. Currently 46 national associations are members of BIPAR. European Federation of Insurance Intermediaries is represented in 31 countries and represents about 80,000 insurance agents and brokers which on other hand employ about 250,000 people. BIPAR was founded in Paris in 1937.
In 1989 BIPAR was settled in Brussels. Today it is the official and recognized voice of insurance intermediaries in European institutions and governments of EU Member States.
